Made $5,000 by Networking
Now I must admit that I am very shy. I usually don’t run into crowds and start introducing myself to everyone in sight, but I have found that moderate Networking can make you big money.
First, find a networking group related to topics you are interested in (ideally a topic you want to make money on).
Then, mingle and listen to some of the conversations in the room.
Join in the conversation if you can add value or you would like someone to go into more detail.
Here is the Value in Networking:
Allows you to discuss ideas/plans with each other like minded people that may have more experience than you (free coaching).
Allows the exchange of information where people have sat down and shared everything they know about a certain topic with each other (free information).
Allows for Lessons Learned (Monetizing in your business)- Where you learn about other peoples mistakes and learn not to make the same mistakes (valuable information).
Allows for the exchange of keys resources and contacts (sharing valuable contacts can be priceless).
Allows for more networking to others contacts (networking).
Here is how I made $5000 in an hour:
I was attending an investment group. I’m always looking for ways to help others gain financial independence and for ways to increase my cash flow. The focus of this meeting was how to increase cash flow with real estate.
I listened to a room full of strangers having conversations and the theme was how they do not know how to create website to promote their businesses.
This is where I jumped in because I offer online ecourses that teach people how to create websites and then sell the specialized knowledge they have in either an Ebook format or Audio & Video format.
Regardless of the business you are in, most businesses will thrive if they are online and thrive even more if they can offer information via ebooks or videos. So by simply listening to the needs of others and exchanging information with them, there wanted to by my information.
Through networking, I have also found friends. As friends we can share valuable information that might not have otherwise been available for Free.

Partnerships – Laws of Success start with a Plan
What can we do to get them “what they need” so that we can “get what we want”? –CCIM Preparing to Negotiate
I love this quote because it can apply to any area of your life…business or personal.
Let’s focus on our business right now. If you are new to creating your online business or any business, the quickest and most effective way to increase profits is to build partnerships. I’m not saying you have to add someone to your business…simply work with them to meet your goals.
In order to do that you need to determine what you can offer that has value to them. What do they need that you may be able to offer in EXCHANGE to get what you want.
Here is an example: If I am selling a new ebook or eCourse, I may reach out to someone that is beginning to experience success and ask to interview them and give them free publicity in exchange for them to promote my ebook or product. (This person should be related to your topic)
Another example is to find someone that has a product where our products would compliment each other. I could offer to promote their product if they will promote mine (offer affiliate commissions.) ClickBank.com makes it super easy to sell information products and will manage all of the affiliate payouts without any hassle to you. This is a great way to have others sell your information/products without you doing all of the marketing. You can reach thousands of people this way for a low one time cost of $49 to sign up as a vendor to sell. This was one of my most profitable investments.
Another Example: Offer someone your time…Volunteer to do work for them in EXCHANGE for them teaching you a piece of their business that may interest you. Everyone could use help expanding their marketing efforts on FaceBook or Twitter. Maybe you can write well and create email marketing campaigns.
You should always be thinking the same for your potential customers. What can you offer that they need in exchange to get what you want (a happy customer that will refer your quality product to others).
If you use this thought process more often, you will be amazed at the opportunities that will begin to arise for you.

Don’t let the unexpected kill your online business or Blog
Preparing your Business or Blog for the UNEXPECTED
As we all know, life can get in the way sometimes. Working schedules, the kids, school work, house work, planning a wedding or divorce and so on. The list could go on forever. The key element is to be productive when you can and plan ahead.
When you are in the FLOW of being productive and creative do extra work.
If your online work consist of blogging, emailing or any other content producing work, do extra when you can. For example, when my creative juices start flowing, I may write 3 blogs and schedule them to post on specific dates. If you are working with WordPress, Woo Themes offers this amazing feature and makes it extremely easy to set up. If your business uses email or videos, you can create more than one at one time and set pre-scheduled times for delivery. I use iContact for my emailing and videos.
Don’t let the unexpected kill your Business
If you do extra work when your creative juices are flowing, it requires less effort to do the work and it will be quality work.
Don’t produce work in a rush because your readers/customers will know and you could lose their interest. It’s better to take a few days off until you can produce quality material than to send out rushed garbage.
If you do a little extra and some planning, the unexpected doesn’t have to kill your business.

For most people, if they lose their job, they lose ALL of their income. This is why you should always have more than one source of income.
If you want to earn money online, these are a few of the most profitable sources you should learn more about and you can do it all with a simple blog. Anyone can do this. I even know a 15 year old earning six figures doing this as well as an 76 year old grandmother.
It’s easier than you think!
1. Create your own Product (Ebook, Video, Audio, eCourse)

4. Sell Ad Space
You can use all or just one of these methods to generate income on a very simple website or blog.
Here is the easy way to get going:
- Create a blog and use one of these templates from Woo Themes. Super easy to set up and they provide easy to use plug-ins that help you make money online from your blog. You may have to pay for one that will allow you to add money making features, but you only pay a small fee once and can get up to 3 themes for the cost of 1.
- Start blogging about your topic of interest. You can also add your own videos or videos from YouTube that are related to your topic.
- Research affiliate programs related to your topic. Think about the products you use and like that are related to your topic and sign up for those affiliate programs.
- Write about your affiliate products in your blog and discuss how they add value to your life and how they can add value for other people. Be sure to add pictures to your blog. No one wants to feel like they are in school reading a text book. (Pick a blog Theme that easily allows you to add pictures to your blogs)
- Sign up for a Google Adsense Account. This is where you can post Google Ads on you site and you make money whenever someone clicks on those ads. (Pick a blog Theme that supports this feature. Most Woo Themes that you pay for will have this feature)
- Sell Ad Space – Let your visitors on your blog know that you are selling ad space. Let them know they have to host the ad image on their server and you will simply post the link to the ad picture and website. Again most Woo Theme templates come with this feature and make it very easy to set up.

Adding Videos & Audios to your Blog or Website Spells Success
Your audience is dying for interaction & speed!
We have evolved into a society that needs to be engaged. We are easily bored with just reading a blog or website. Yes, we will do it if necessary to gather critical information
needed, but we would rather watch a video or PowerPoint. We wold love to hear the audio of your message because it makes us feel more connected to the author.
Point Blank! Adding audio & video to your website or blog will bring it to life. You wi
ll increase your traffic in a big way. You could even land a job interview. If we wanted to only read books, we could go to any book store.
Truth be told, going to the bookstore is even too much of a hassle these days…that’s why profits from eBooks are skyrocketing. That is why Barnes and Nobles now has it’s own eBook reader.
We want what we want…And we want it NOW!
The HOTTEST selling products today are “Information eProducts” = audio, video & ebook products.
Picture this…you go to the book store to find a book on how to create a website. The book store is all sold out of the book you want. You find another similar book and start to browse through it. The problem is you are a little technology and Internet challenged. Maybe there aren’t enough pictures to walk you through the process to set up your website. Results = You leave the book at the book store.

Results = Happy and Motivated customer making progress towards fulfilling a need.
My research is also showing these types of eProducts are becoming a part of the interview process for candidates looking for jobs. With today’s job market, you have to learn to stand out. Learning to create and use these tools could make all the difference.

Allow Your Failure to Guide You to Prosperity & Abundance
We often use our past failures in the wrong way. We dwell on them. We revisit those terrible moments often. We keep replaying them in our heads and reliving the negative feelings associated with them. We keep thinking…what if I had done or said “X” instead. Maybe the outcome would be different…Maybe I would have been successful or happy.
Let me tell you how I look at life and how I value my past failures.
- 1. I believe everything happens for a reason. Especially what we consider “BAD” things.
2. I do not believe in coincidences. That just means you need to pay extra close attention to a message meant for you.
3. There are valuable lessons in every failure that we can use to improve our lives and our businesses.
Some years ago, I was engaged to be married to a man I thought was the man of my dreams. I thought my mate and me were working to build a wonderful life together, but discovered he no longer shared this plan. I accidentally stumbled on some evidence that suggested he was having an affair. I became consumed with finding out every detail and I did in fact find out that he was involved with several different women. I was heartbroken…devastated!!!
I had moved halfway across the country with him to support him in his business endeavors and was all alone in a strange city when this happened. I was embarrassed because I had to return to my home state and explain what happened to my friends and family. The relationship financially destroyed my life and I had to move in with my sister (I was sleeping on her sofa).
For a long time I blamed myself for that failed relationship. I relived the negative feelings and BELIEVED all men were like that. For some reason every man I started to attract was now like that. I got angry over and over again…but then I woke up. I started reading several self -help books like Think & Grow Rich & The Power of Your Subconscious Mind and I realized I could change my life if I changed my thoughts.
1. Everything happens for a reason – I questioned myself. What’s the reason? How could I help others like me? How could I turn this into a positive experience? I decided to start a website that would help others find out if they were in the same situations as me – and didn’t know it.
2. Nothing is a coincidence – This happened to me and I have the ability to use my experience and skills to help others. This situation pushed me into starting my own online money making business. And it’s something I’m good at and enjoy (because I’m nosy 
)
3. There are valuable lessons in every failure – While this relationship did not work out, it helped me to improve myself and my NEW business. It forced me to play an ACTIVE ROLE in controlling my Subconscious Mind and how I used the Law of Attraction (to attract good things…not bad things). After reflecting on my thinking at the time, I realized how much I didn’t value myself. I valued other people and what I could do for them. But once I started to value myself, I began to attract other people who genuinely valued ME and all that I have to offer and positive opportunities.
The goal is to reflect on your failures with an open mind and heart and see if there are opportunities to improve yourself or your business. Don’t look back in disappointment; look back as an optimistic student trying to learn. There is an abundance of everything you want and need in this universe (happiness, wealth, health…). You just have to know how to look for it and how to turn it into a positive.
No longer do I harbor negative feelings towards my ex because we just weren’t meant to be. And honestly if it weren’t for him, I might not have every jumped into the online business. This business was just a start to so many more. (Even started teaching people how to create ebooks & Audio and Video products). Believe it or not…today we actually joke about my website because he was impressed with the business idea it triggered. I’m updating the site now to teach people how to use those negative feelings for something positive and productive.
So remember Every Failure can bring with it Success.

Opportunity is Every where…Even in near Death
“The pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; the optimist, the opportunity in every difficulty” – LP Jacks. Which are you?
When my daughter was about 9 months she was diagnosed with a very serious cancer like condition. This was a very stressful time for me and her dad because we had no idea what the outcome of the situation would be.
At the time, I was working in Corporate America at a very stressful job. I worked about 65 hours a week and even when I was home…I still had to work. We didn’t get to take lunch breaks because there was always so much work to do. Needless to say…I was stressed out like a NUT and spending very little time with my baby who was growing up so fast.
She ended up needing surgery to remove a mass from the inside of her head and thankfully she did not need to go through chemotherapy as previously thought. We are blessed because she seems to have recovered pretty well from her condition, but it is a condition we will have to monitor for the rest of her life to ensure it does not come back.
In spite of my daughter’s condition, I still had to work from home to meet company deadlines while nursing her back to health because that was a pay check our family needed.
It was THEN I decided…my life had to change and I needed to find a business where I could earn good money to take care of my daughter, and still have plenty of time to myself to spend time with her (NOT WORKING!). I was already making some good money online, but at that point in time it wasn’t enough to support a growing family with growing expenses.
Even though this was a very difficult time for me, I took the time to realize I needed to create an opportunity in my life that would allow me to get out of that terrible “Rat Race” and spend more time with my family. That event in my life has since created so many amazing opportunities to excel in ways I would have never if I had still worked at that “Hell Hole” job.
For me, the key to finding the Positive in this Negative situation was to look at the situation in a different light and to change my thinking about it. I went back and re-read these two books and I truly believe they even helped in healing my daughter so she didn’t need chemotherapy. The Power of Your Subconscious Mind and Think & Grow Rich. A lot of bloggers fail to make money online for the following reasons:
- They have their expectations set too high and they don’t have a road map

I’ve seen a lot of frustrated bloggers who are not seeing the same amazing results. One thing you do not often see or even hear from bloggers is how hard they work, and how long it has taken them to reach what we call success.

I had worked extremely hard the first 2 months and countless nights on the computer before I started seeing my first descent amount of income online, and even then it still wasn’t where I wanted it. People complain about working 40 hours a week, but I worked 40 hours in 2-3 days when I have the chance, and so do a lot of other bloggers. If you want to make money blogging you better be ready to work hard in the beginning. And no. . . Understand that people learn through different experiences. Some people will love and enjoy reading a blog, while other can’t be bother reading. Many people enjoy video and audio blogs today. These tools do a great job keeping your audience engaged. People enjoy the interaction when it feels like they are watching or listening to a friend talk. So keep in mind…anything you do online will be much more profitable when you add video or audio to your blog. Running your blog from auto-pilot
Now you’re probably wondering, how do all these other bloggers run their blog from auto-pilot? They’ve worked very hard to build up email lists, large amounts of traffic, popular products and depending on what they’re doing they outsourced to staff. Heck, if I wanted to I could leave my eCourse business for weeks and it would run ok, but a blog is a very different animal.
For me, I have worked very hard to learn the steps needed to set up an eCourse online business and have it run without much additional work, but I can see my blog business will require much more attention.
You need to wake up and realize your blog is your business
You need to realize the moment you decide to start making money on your blog – that is the day you’re turning your blog into a Business, and you need to treat your blog like a business. Treating your blog like a business will help you achieve the landmarks you set for yourself, and it will also help you prepare for the unexpected.
Be Happy You Didn’t Make Millions Over Night
Here is the good thing…sometimes it works out for the best that you do not make tons of money over night because this really is a process. In my eCourse Secret eBook Riches, I walk through the mistakes I made early on. The big one was choosing the wrong payment system. I lost $10,000 dollars in sales the first week I launched. I have tons of customers from all over the world and it was a huge disappointment to experience that early on. Even though the documents stated they accept International payments “They DID NOT”.
You only get one chance to earn your customers trust, so when their payment doesn’t go through the first time – You may have lost that trust! Some times these problems can’t be helped. Systems go down…but you have to make sure it doesn’t happen often. You have to walk through the blueprint of someone that has done this already or it can be heart breaking if you are Not really ready.
