A lot of bloggers fail to make money online for the following reasons:

1. They have their expectations set too high and they don’t have a road map
2. They enter blogging with the mindset that “I can make six-figures in 2 months online” and not put a lot of time into it
3. They have a great topic, but don’t use audio or video to get their message across to their audience.

Pro-Blogger’s are quick to share how much money they make and the techniques they use to do it, but what they do not tell you is how much they have worked for their techniques to pay off.

I’ve seen a lot of frustrated bloggers who are not seeing the same amazing results. One thing you do not often see or even hear from bloggers is how hard they work, and how long it has taken them to reach what we call success.

Making Money Blogging is serious work

I had worked extremely hard the first 2 months and countless nights on the computer before I started seeing my first descent amount of income online, and even then it still wasn’t where I wanted it. People complain about working 40 hours a week, but I worked 40 hours in 2-3 days when I have the chance, and so do a lot of other bloggers. If you want to make money blogging you better be ready to work hard in the beginning. And no. . . I’m not talking about working hard 2-3 months and expecting to get on a plane to Fiji and relax on the beach…try 7-9 months if you do it with the right guidance.

Know Your Audiences Needs

Understand that people learn through different experiences. Some people will love and enjoy reading a blog, while other can’t be bother reading. Many people enjoy video and audio blogs today. These tools do a great job keeping your audience engaged. People enjoy the interaction when it feels like they are watching or listening to a friend talk. So keep in mind…anything you do online will be much more profitable when you add video or audio to your blog. Running your blog from auto-pilot

Now you’re probably wondering, how do all these other bloggers run their blog from auto-pilot? They’ve worked very hard to build up email lists, large amounts of traffic, popular products and depending on what they’re doing they outsourced to staff. Heck, if I wanted to I could leave my eCourse business for weeks and it would run ok, but a blog is a very different animal.

For me, I have worked very hard to learn the steps needed to set up an eCourse online business and have it run without much additional work, but I can see my blog business will require much more attention.

You need to wake up and realize your blog is your business

You need to realize the moment you decide to start making money on your blog – that is the day you’re turning your blog into a Business, and you need to treat your blog like a business. Treating your blog like a business will help you achieve the landmarks you set for yourself, and it will also help you prepare for the unexpected.

Be Happy You Didn’t Make Millions Over Night

Here is the good thing…sometimes it works out for the best that you do not make tons of money over night because this really is a process. In my eCourse Secret eBook Riches, I walk through the mistakes I made early on. The big one was choosing the wrong payment system. I lost $10,000 dollars in sales the first week I launched. I have tons of customers from all over the world and it was a huge disappointment to experience that early on. Even though the documents stated they accept International payments “They DID NOT”.

You only get one chance to earn your customers trust, so when their payment doesn’t go through the first time – You may have lost that trust! Some times these problems can’t be helped. Systems go down…but you have to make sure it doesn’t happen often. You have to walk through the blueprint of someone that has done this already or it can be heart breaking if you are Not really ready.
